About Us

I grew up in a low middle class neighborhood, and my father worked for International Harvester in Chicago. I studied at Mt. Carmel High School and Millikin University. From there I went on to finance and banking, where I managed 4 branches of a major bank in Chicago. I've always worked in blue collar communities as a banking center manager. My passion was providing everyone who walked through the doors of my facilities with world class customer service and financial education. My customers were people who didn’t have time for bureaucratic jargon. They just wanted to know the best thing to do for their families, and their future.

Politics has always been an interest of mine. As a child I remember asking my mother what the difference was between a democrat and a republican. She said "all you need to know is that with the republicans, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer." I'm going to be doing something I've always had a passion for and always loved to do...help people by providing the truth.

We can’t lay the entire responsibility of taking on corporate goliaths to the government. That responsibility lies with each one of us...in our social networks, in our water cooler conversations, to our family and friends, etc. The billion dollar right wing message is so loud over TV, internet and radio. Our voice is grassroots. Educated, liberal patriots let's join together and make our voices heard.

The Blue State Post was founded in Chicago in February of 2011, on the concept of providing an online media hub for liberals and progressives. Our mission is to allow our readers to keep their ears to the liberal grassroots movement, and stay informed of what's circulating on the frontlines of the political blogosphere, via a comprehensive liberal and progressive news hub. We draw upon a wide variety of news outlets, blogs, and grassroots media sources and bring you the stories you need to stay informed quickly, be well armed in the debate, and keep up the fight!

The republicans count on the fact that we have to work so much just to get by and support our families, that we won’t have time to stay informed of what’s happening politically and how it will affect us. This is how they were able to manipulate and fool the middle class into helping them win sweeping elections in November of 2010. They won both governorships and congressional seats. Once they made it there, they played their hand and their true agenda was revealed. We will not be fooled again. This time we will stick together, stay informed, and not let the rich take our country back from us!
